Mario Vargas Llosa (Perú) won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2010, the Miguel de Cervantes Prize for Literature (Spain) in 1994, the Jerusalem Prize for the Freedom of the Individual in Society (Israel) in 1995, & the Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger (France) in 1980.
