Odysseus Elytis

Odysseus Elytis (1911-1996), was widely recognized as Greece's greatest later 20th-century poet, a fitting successor to Cavafy and Seferis. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1979. ["Contributor Note" from original publication, 1997.]
