1969 - Film Society began presentations and film screenings in Albertus Magnus Hall

1970s - Various academic departments offered film courses

1991 - American Film Studies course approved by college president

2000 - Theatre Arts Department changed to Department of Theatre, Dance, and Film, December 6, 2000

2001 - Film minor drafted

2004 - Smith Center for the Arts opens

2004 - First student/alumni film festival

2005 - The first student film competition “Student Video Slam” held on November 16th
