Exhibition Date, Fall 2015 - The Phillips Memorial Library celebrates Constitution Day each year in September with an exhibit highlighting the event. The exhibit explores the formation of the Articles of Confederation, which were ratified by the thirteen original states in 1781 and served as the first constitution of the United States. Today’s Constitution was ratified eight years later in 1789. The exhibit features a life-size replica of this Constitution.
