This is the local report created for Providence College as part of PC’s participation in Ithaka S+R’s Supporting the Changing Practices of Teaching in Business project. It describes the project’s methodology, findings, and recommendations. The primary research for the project consisted of semi-structured, open interviews with fifteen faculty involved in teaching undergraduate business majors. The findings and recommendations are organized into three major topics – Active Learning, Curriculum Support, and Assessment/Data Analytics. The central recommendations are in the area of Curriculum Support. They are (1) that the library should explore curation tools that will better allow business faculty to discover and share digital teaching resources, and (2) that the library should develop more of an embedded librarian or liaison program so as to better collaborate with support the work of business faculty.
