Queer Migration: The Impacts of U.S. Immigration Policies on LGBTQ+ Migrants from the Southern Border
Major: Global Studies and Public and Community Service
Faculty Mentor: Dr. Christopher Chambers, Sociology and Anthropology
This research is a year-long project focused on the intersection between Queerness and the world of migration within the United States. Policies consistently change between U.S. administrations which have been historically known for making it extremely difficult for minoritized individuals to migrate and/or seek refuge to the states. Queer Migration is real, it exists, and my research is a peak into that unique world.
