2014 Cleary Lecture: Prospects for Peace in Colombia by Virginia M. Bouvier

The second annual Cleary lecture featured Dr. Virginia Bouvier of the United States Institute of Peace. In 2012-2013 she served on the United Nations Standby Team of Mediation Experts. She is a long-time observer of the Colombian peace process, including the talks currently taking place in Havana, the most serious initiative in ten years to try to end the half-century long Colombian armed conflict between the government and FARC guerrillas. Bouvier is also the editor of Colombia: Building Peace in a Time of War.
