In 2019, the marketing department at Providence College introduced a Fellowship program to offer highly motivated marketing majors in-depth advising and academic opportunities. Due to its infancy, our team surveyed 121 marketing students to assess the program and its perceived value. Surprisingly, we found no difference in perceived value between Fellows and non-Fellows marketing students. To increase satisfaction among marketing students and fellows alike, we offered several recommendations, including increasing alumni engagement through an alumni luncheon, setting up clear guidelines and expectations for the program via a written contract, and creating an introductory marketing course specifically catering to Fellows students.
