Description
Drugs used to increase insulin sensitivity may also inhibit enzymes involved in steroid synthesis. Prior to this investigation, it was uncertain whether the drugs inhibited the enzymes directly or whether the decrease in androgen synthesis observed during treatment was a secondary effect.
