Basketball has evolved significantly over the years, with players continuously striving to improve their shooting accuracy and efficiency. As the game becomes more data-driven, advancements in artificial intelligence and computer vision have provided new methods for analyzing and correcting shooting mechanics that allow players to improve their game. Using deep learning, this research aims to fill a gap in these advancements, which is looking at the position of the shooters fingers relative to the ball. Doing so can improve stability and overall shooting performance.
