The primary focus of my research project is to find a new way to conserve energy from the force that is produced by the flow of water out of a household faucet and convert this energy to outside sources. I started completing my research by collecting data and finding how much force the water produced. After learning about piezoelectric crystals I was able to light up a LED while applying mechanical energy to the crystals. I used a soldering iron and I was able to strongly connect different colored LEDs to the crystals making them light up.
