Description
This article examines some of the issues and decisions involved with the digitization of text, audio, and graphics for electronic publication. It tries to cover most of the critical decisions and the trade-offs that one course of action will have on subsequent options. It draws on my as experiences as the author of two electronic publications: The American Revolution, a multimedia CD-ROM published by Research Publications in the American Journey: History in Your Hands series, and Essential Documents of American History, a text only title published by EBSCO Electronic Publishing.
