Born in Nashville, Georgia, USA, the son of sharecropper farmers, completed his doctorate at Louisiana State University, has taught and done research in the Americas, Europe and East Asia. Russell has served as an international digital academic library scholar and digital humanist since 1994, the last 16 years at Providence College, Providence, Rhode Island USA. Russell and Molly have been international collaborative partners in life and careers since 1989, enjoying languages, cultures, the arts, nature and creative living in a magical partnership. The spirit of their lives continues in several endowed scholarships and in Russell ́s musical compositions, performances and recordings. The spirit of their lives is shared with an international network of pathfinders, artists and eternal spirits.
