The Dickens Society is a scholarly organization founded to conduct and support research, publication, instruction, and general interest in the life and literature of Charles Dickens. The society is affiliated with the peer-reviewed journal Dickens Quarterly.
Each year, the symposium draws scholars of 19th century literature and history from around the world. Recent Dickens symposia have been held at Kingston University in London, Queens University in Belfast, Oxford University, Edinburgh University, and Boston University.
