Egito Gonçalves has published 21 volumes of poetry, and has been translated into numerous languages. In 1995 he won the Portuguese PEN Club poetry prize and this year he was awarded the "Grande Premio de Poesia" of the Portuguese Association of Writers for his most recent book, And Yet It Moves.
